UNCOVER THE INDIE MUSIC SCENE & THE ARTISTS WHO MAKE IT HAPPEN
Formed in 2016 by Berchielli, Bradshaw, and Rupertu, Hollowed Sky is a free-spirited alt-rock band based near Annapolis, Maryland. After a long hiatus from music, Berchielli, Bradshaw, and Rupertus decided to jam together, and within a few minutes of their first session, they had an immediate connection and knew they had something special. Eventually, the jam sessions started developing structure, and several months later, the band members decided they needed a vocalist.
In 2017, Orem joined the band as their lead vocalist, further improving their chemistry. With the new lineup, the band released the albums: Hollowed Sky (2017), Strings (2020), Unstrung (2021), Bound by Nightmares (2022), as well as the singles Brainwave (2017, studio jam), Into the Ground (2021), and Hey You (2021, Pink Floyd cover). In 2022, Orem left the band, but the remaining members kept the music alive by playing as a three-member instrumental band at a few previously booked shows. Over time, the jam sessions took shape, and they eventually realized they needed a new lead vocalist to bring fresh energy to their music.
In 2023, after several months of composing new music, Robyn joined the band. Robyn’s powerful vocals instantly matched the band’s energy and sound, and as their new lead vocalist, the band’s music gained fresh energy that truly set them apart. In 2023, they released their first single with the new lineup, Kill My Darlings, Hookworm, and The Northern Lights, and a cover of Beat It by Michael Jackson. Their latest single, Patchwork Beast, was released in May 2024.
